For Bermuda or Zoysia turfs, try Solitare Herbicdie, its a combo of Quinclorac (Drive XLR8) and Sulfentrazone, it's a granular product which seems to have a better shelf life than liquid products. Sulfentrazone does a great job on Goosegrass as well as other grassy weeds.

The Bermuda is coming in nicely. Common Bermuda is what we primarily have in my neck of the woods.

Is a MacLaine a once in a lifetime investment? I really don’t want to spend 5 grand on a lawnmower more than once. My Honda rotary is 15 years old and starts on the 1st pull every single time. So I take care of my stuff. But I can’t justify buying a 5K lawnmower more than once.

Wish we could send you some rain we keep getting up here in Minnesota. Have not needed to turn on my sprinkler system yet this year. Last year was a drought year. Crazy weather.

I have been watching for a few years now being that I'm in GA and needed guidance for my new hobby/love. Docs videos and calendar helped me tremendously on my new venture. I've been meaning to treat an area of my yard, an area I don't really need to care about, for goose grass. thanks for the tip. My nice lawn area with bermuda is currently free of any weeds including goose and crab grass. Yes we are in a drought period and hot temps. This usually happens in July. Started a bit earlier this year.

How long should you wait to treat for weeds if you have grown new grass from seed recently?

Do dallisgrass. These weeds are easy Doc. We subscribe for real knowledge.

I am in Myrtle beach SC with cool season grass. I set my irrigation to 7 minutes each zone starting at 3:30 am everyday. Let’s see how this works. It’s looking good except it’s browning where a tree was removed. Hand watering that area too. Thanks!

I have one on my newer generator it was about one year old when the sensor failed and it would shut the generator down about have 5 minutes so i bypass it and it works fine now my generator is about 60 feet away from my house

Quinclorac (18.9%) as a post emergent took take of my crab/goose grass problem. That and proper use of Prodiamine in the early spring prior to germination. Plus last year i over seeded my lawn and new seed in a few others and this year i really have not had any crab grass or goose grass. Water/cut your lawn/ and fertilize regularly and you can get rid of it. I've tried Tenacity as a post emergent...no bueno. Took 2 seasons to eradicate it.

You aren't even close to the kind of drought we have near San Antonio. We're 25'" of rain short for the year and we're having blazing hot temperatures. We're now on stage 3 water restrictions, which means that we can water only once every two weeks from 7-10am. When I do irrigate, I run each zone (I have 7) for 20 minutes, starting at 7am. I helps....somewhat...but my Bermuda is definately struggling.

How does this compare to a heater. Most things that plug into power even at 120 will need amps. How many amps is such a device. Thanks

Thank you for the inspiration , I'm in the process of trying to repair a old and neglected Bermuda lawn. I'm fairly certain this is common Bermuda. It hasn't been touched in a decade or more. Just left to it's own devices. I've sprayed weed killer twice ( mix of Certainty and Celcius) and just put down biochar. I'm wondering at what height I should be mowing this grass. It's currently under 1 inch and doesn't seem to be growing much. Should I just leave it to grow for a couple of weeks? Thanks for all the great info on Bermuda.

For all of the naysayers and trolls, I've been following Doc's channel for about 4 years, followed his advice including the Lawncare Guide, and my Bermuda lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. I love the comments from people walking by. I wish I could post before and after pictures here. I also put Dirt Booster in my raised garden bed, and DAMN! Great results.

Mike, I have a question for you. I have some 100% Humic Acid that is a very fine power. I'm thinking that I can use this on my lawn and it would have the same effect as Hydretain. Problem is I have no idea of what I need to do in order to make it into a concentrate that I can spray on my lawn using a Orthro Dial-n-spray? Any suggestions?

how deep are your shallow wells? and how much area can they irrigate, adequately?
